French White Oak Fumed results from an ammonia infusion process in which the natural tannins in the oak are darkened and the grain pattern accentuated. Knotting is similar to that of White Oak Country, but it tends to blend in more with the darkened wood.

Available in unfinished, square-edged planks for light sanding and custom finishing on the job site. An ultraviolet light-cured polyurethane factory finish is available; these planks have micro-beveled sides and square-edged ends. The material is also offered with a burnished oil finish and custom coloring, square-edged. All boards have tongue and groove construction on four sides and are kiln dried to 7–9% moisture content.
